Richard Williams taught creative writing, literature, and film courses for many years before pursuing filmmaking, when he began participating in the annual 48-hour film contest. He is interested in making films that are both comic and tragic, that focus on characters at critical moments, that explore themes relevant to the challenges we all face but that acknowledge the humor that arises from the struggle; in short, films that examine the human condition, which is everything. He is currently working on his first feature.
